Since 1979
Yorkville Residence
Laudation Shade system
The Challenge
This project involved a century-old home in the Yorkville area, where preserving a clean architectural aesthetic was essential. The main challenge was to incorporate shading systems without affecting the high-end finishes, especially in a kitchen prone to moisture and frequent use.
The Solution
Brading implemented a bottom-up shading system with its Laudation technology, removing the need for cords or visible mechanisms. A notable detail was the integration of side tracks seamlessly recessed into the marble window jambs, allowing the system to blend seamlessly into the architecture. A durable sunscreen fabric was chosen to resist moisture and heat in the kitchen.
The Outcome
The final installation integrated flawlessly into a highly detailed interior, remaining invisible. This project showcases Brading's skill in blending material choice, precise installation, and architectural awareness to create a refined, customized outcome.
